This resolution would authorize an additional $106,331 in the 2005 Capital Budget to fund the Brittingham Boathouse Renovation and Addition (Specific Park Improvements Project 810405). Funding of $500,000 was approved via resolution 01973. This resolution increases total project authorization to $606,331. Funding will be now be derived from a variety of sources, as follows:

Amount budgeted in 2004 for this project:

2004 Capital Budget Specific Park Improvements Project (810405): $250,000 funded by a transfer from TID #28.

Total funding authorized in 2005 via this budget amendment:

1. 2005 Capital Budget Specific Park Improvements Project (810405) funded by a transfer from the Hollister Trust Fund (TN70): $163,000;
2. Transfer from Parks Development Fees Fund (SI04): $53,236;
3. Contributions from the UW Chancellor's Office: $10,000;
4. Contributions from the UW Athletic Department: $10,000;
5. Private contributions from a lead donor: $100,000; and
6. Other private contributions: $20,095.

This funding package of $606,331 replaces the $500,000 package as adopted in Resolution 01973 on September 20, 2005.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidders contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 3.58 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
