Fiscal Note
Costs associated with this double fill total approximately $6,300, including benefits, and will be accommodated by the management of Parks Division salary savings.  There is no anticipated impact upon cost controls or the tax levy.

SUBSTITUTE - To authorize a double fill in the Parks Administrative Services Manager position from May 29  June 5, 2005 through July 3, 2005.
Body
WHEREAS, the incumbent Parks Administrative Services Manager is to be paid through July 2, 2005 and the new Parks Administrative Services Manager will be hired effective May 29  June 5, 2005 in order to facilitate an orderly transition of information and responsibility; and
 
WHEREAS, MGO 3.35 (6) (h) states: "The Human Resources Director, with the approval of the Mayor, and of the Common Council if the action requires the expenditure of more than $2,000 and/or is for longer than 30 days, is authorized to double-fill any position for a period not to exceed forty-five (45) calendar days unless such period is extended by action of the Common Council."
 
WHEREAS, the double fill of the Parks Administrative Services Manager requires the expenditure of more than $2,000; and
 
WHEREAS, funding for these expenditures is available in the Parks Division's 2005 Operating Budget;
 
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the double filling of the Parks Administrative Services Manager position is approved for the period of May 29  June 5, 2005 through July 3, 2005.
