Fiscal Note
In the adopted 2017 capital budget Engineering-Major Streets and the associated Utilities have budgeted $10.29 million for the resurfacing of existing streets to improve roadway quality and useful life via the Pavement Management program (MUNIS 10540). The minor projects for the work planned in the proposed resolution contain sufficient budget authority for the planned work in this resolution.
The proposed resolution approves plan documents at a total estimated cost of $4,335,385.50 split amongst agencies as follows.
Engineering Major Streets - $2,992,860.50
Stormwater Utility - $410,000
Sewer Utility - $154,550
Water Utility - $774,375
Metro - $3,600

Approving Plans, Specifications, And Schedule Of Assessments For Resurfacing 2017 - Assessment District.
Body
The Board of Public Works and the City Engineer having made reports of all proceedings in relation to the improvement of Resurfacing 2017 - Assessment District pursuant to a resolution of the Common Council, RES-16-00867, adopted 11/22/2016, which resolution was adopted thereto, and the provisions of the Madison General Ordinances and the Wisconsin Statutes in such case made and provided, and the Common Council being fully advised.
The City Engneer plans to award multiple contracts in 2017 for the Resurfacing Program.
