The proposed resolution approves plans and specifications and authorizes the Board of Public Works to advertise and receive bids for the Dairy Dr Temporary Campground Demo and Site Restoration. The total estimated cost of the project is $220,000. Funding is available in the Community Development Division Operating Budget (MUNIS #67001).

The 2025 Adopted CDD Operating Budget includes funding for the Dairy Dr Temporary Campground Demo and Site Restoration. The project funds demolition of shelters and bathroom building, removing site improvements and site restoration grading and reseeding of the parcel.

The 2025 Adopted CDD Capital Budgets include funding for the Dairy Dr Temporary Campground Demo and Site Restoration. The project funds demolition of shelters and bathroom building, removing site improvements and site restoration grading and reseeding of the parcel.

In August, 2021, the Common Council adopted File #67137, RES-21-00621 authorizing use of 3202 Dairy Dr. as a temporary campground during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Funding for the creation and operation of the temporary campground was provided through the federal American Rescue Plan Act, and those funds have now expired, resulting in the need to close the temporary campground.

This resolution approves the plans and specifications for the project, authorizes the Board of Public Works to advertise for and receive bids for the project, authorizes execution of any lease or easement documents necessary to accomplish the project and authorizes the acquisition of materials and services required to successfully complete the project.
