The proposed resolution approves plans and specifications and authorizes the Board of Public Works to advertise and receive bids for the Pheasant Branch Greenway Enhancement. The total estimated cost of the project is $9,699,200. Funding is available in Munis projects #14370 ($8,531,200), #14941 ($548,000), and #15414 ($620,000). No additional appropriation is required.

Body
This project will re-grade an existing pond and greenways in the Old Sauk Trails Business Park to maximize flood conveyance and storage and increase the size of the culverts on Deming Way (north), Fourier Drive, and Deming Way (southwest), as well as improve conveyance out of an enclosed depression on Blackhawk Rd and Deming Way. The project will restore the project area with native vegetation. Construction costs anticipate approximately $150,000 in compensable utility relocations as well as grant funding available in the Citywide Flood Mitigation program in the amount of $6,028,190 from the FEMA BRIC grant program (RES-23-00620, Legistar File # 79810). BE IT RESOLVED,

1) That the plans and specifications for the Pheasant Branch Greenway Enhancement, be and are hereby approved.

2) That the Board of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to advertise and receive bids for said project.

3) That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to sign and grant easements or right-of-way release or procurement documents, maintenance agreements or encroachment agreements, as necessary and grant or accept dedication of lands and/or easements from/to the Developer/Owner for public improvements located outside of existing public fee title or easement right-of-ways.
