Public Health Madison and Dane County (Public Health) proposes the acceptance of an additional $17,975 from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) for Public Health Emergency Preparedness.
This grant starts on July 1, 2024 and runs through June 30th, 2025. The additional funding is due to the grant starting mid-year and us receiving an increase in the base allocation for the next five years.
The Board of Health for Madison and Dane County previously approved Resolution #2023-36 authorizing the acceptance of $252,000 from DHS for the Emergency Preparedness program. PHMDC received an additional $17,975, increasing the total amount to $269,975.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Health for Madison and Dane County on behalf of Public Health Madison and Dane County authorizes the Director of Public Health, or their designee, to sign the agreement, accept and expend the funding, and amend the 2024 Public Health Budget by $17,975.
