Title
Authorizing the City of Madison to accept $75,000 in matching funds from Dane County to support the costs of a consultant-led effort to update the Community Plan to Prevent and End Homelessness, amending the Community Development Division's 2022 Operating Budget to reflect receipt of these funds and commensurate expenditures; and authorizing the Community Development Division to issue an RFP to solicit proposals from organizations to provide consultant services.
Body
BACKGROUND
During the City of Madison's 2022 operating budget process, the Common Council transferred $75,000 from Direct Appropriations to the Community Development Division ("CDD") to help fund a consultant study for a new Community Plan to Prevent and End Homelessness, as required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") (Operating Budget Amendment #3). The Dane County Board similarly appropriated $75,000 in its 2022 Operating Budget for the same purpose. The combined total of $150,000 will be used to fund consulting services to be provided in 2022 by an entity selected via a Request for Proposals (RFP) process.
