Board of Health for Madison and Dane County Resolution #2022 - 11 Authorization to Accept Additional Funds from the National Association of County & City Health Officials to Support the Health Equity and Overdose Prevention Mentorship Program

Public Health Madison and Dane County (PHMDC) proposes the acceptance of additional funding from the National Association of County & City Health Officials (NACCHO) to support the Health Equity and Overdose Prevention Mentorship Program. These funds will allow PHMDC’s Overdose Prevention Team to advance their efforts to embed equity into drug overdose prevention and harm reduction work.

 

The Board of Health for Madison and Dane County previously approved Resolution #2021-11 authorizing the acceptance and contract signing for $15,000 from NACCHO. PHMDC has received an additional $10,000 from NACCHO, increasing the total funding amount to $25,000. 

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Health for Madison and Dane County on behalf of Public Health Madison and Dane County authorizes the Director of Public Health, or their designee, to accept and sign the contract funding in the revised amount of $25,000 in the 2022 budget.
