Authorizing acceptance and appropriation of Focus on Energy rebates of $2,712.68 for Madison Public Library's neighborhood branch LED lighting upgrade project.

WHEREAS, Madison Public Library (MPL) began an LED lighting upgrade project for the neighborhood library branches in 2020 at the Hawthorne and Alicia Ashman branches. This capital project will increase energy efficiencies in the neighborhood branches; and,
WHEREAS, the Focus on Energy group distributes rebates for energy saving upgrades. Madison Public Library has received two rebate checks for the Hawthorne and Alicia Ashman branches; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Madison Public Library Board is granting authorization to Madison Public Library for acceptance and appropriation of the $2,712.68 in rebates; and,
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, the Madison Public Library is authorized to create the necessary 2022 budget amendments to accept the rebate funds.
