Board of Health for Madison and Dane County Resolution #2021-25 Authorization to Accept Funds from the Northeastern Wisconsin Area Health Education Center to Support the State Opioid Response Program

Public Health Madison and Dane County (PHMDC) proposes the acceptance of $7,300 of funding from the Northeastern Wisconsin Area Health Education Center, Incorporated (NEWAHEC) to support the State Opioid Response Program and reduce prescription drug misuse. These funds will allow PHMDC to support the Prevention Alliance of Dane County by purchasing and distributing medication lock boxes and engaging in public awareness and educational events and campaigns.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Health for Madison and Dane County on behalf of Public Health Madison and Dane County authorizes the Director of Public Health, or their designee, to sign the agreement Northeastern Wisconsin Area Health Education Center, Incorporated and accept $7,300, when awarded.
