Act on the contingent preliminary recommendation of the Police Chief for appointments from the Eligibility List of the individuals named in the Contingency Hiring List, in the order shown thereon and as vacancies in the academy class allow, each on a probationary basis pursuant to Rule 4(e)(v), and with continuing appointment subject to a final recommendation by the Police Chief and final Board approval, which are reserved for 18 months from the effective date.
