Title
Accepting the report titled “Comprehensive Plan - 2021 Progress Update”
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Madison adopted the Imagine Madison Comprehensive Plan on August 7, 2018; and
WHEREAS, the public engagement process to develop the Comprehensive Plan included interactions with over 15,000 residents and emphasized engagement with diverse residents and stakeholders; and
WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan calls for the creation of an annual Progress Update to report back to the community on progress made in implementing the Plan’s recommendations; and
WHEREAS, the 2021 Progress Update was developed through coordination with staff from many City agencies; and
WHEREAS, the 2021 Progress Update highlights projects from the 2020 calendar year that advanced Plan recommendations and provides the implementation status for each of the Comprehensive Plan’s 172 Actions; and
WHEREAS, this Progress Update is a resource for continued implementation of the Comprehensive Plan, including preparation of the City’s 2022 capital and operating budgets and preparation of agency work plans.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Common Council accepts the 2021 Progress Update.
