Public Health-Madison and Dane County (PHMDC) proposes accepting funding from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services on behalf of the Division of Public Health to support the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). Specifically, PHMDC proposes accepting a total of $15,285 for program related activities described below. Under the terms of the merger agreement, the Board of Health for Madison and Dane County may authorize PHMDC to accept and spend grant funds (IGA, VII, F, 1-3).

In addition, PHMDC was previously awarded funding from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services on behalf of the Division of Public Health to improve the WIC clinic environment and implement a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Program. PHMDC proposes a transfer of funding to align the grant budgets with these priorities and to reflect with actual spending. Under the terms of the merger agreement, the Board of Health for Madison and Dane County may authorize PHMDC to move funds within appropriations during a fiscal year (IGA, VIII, G).

· Clinic Environment: Transfer a total of $2,404.57 from Medical Supplies and Office Furniture to Building Improvement/Repair to improve the clinic environment and appointment experience for program participants, as well as align with actual spending that supported the development of a mural in the S. Park St. clinic space.
