The proposed resolution amends the 2020 Sewer Utility Capital Budget for the reconstruction of the Rimrock Interceptor- Industrial Drive Extension. The budget amendment would increase the Municipal Capital Participate budget and billing authority by $130,000. The increase reflects increased project contribution costs for the City of Monona.

Amending the 2020 Sewer Utility Capital Budget to increase the Municipal Capital Participation funding by $130,000 to fund project Rimrock Interceptor-Industrial Drive Extension. (14th AD)
Body
WHEREAS, the Rimrock Interceptor- Industrial Drive Extension is a sewer main used jointly by the City of Madison and the City of Monona; and,
WHEREAS, said sewer is in poor condition and in need of being replaced; and,
WHEREAS, the City entered into an agreement with The City of Monona (Original: RES-16-00612) with Monona to pay 70% of the sewer improvements; and
WHEREAS, the Sewer Reconstruction major currently has $502,500 of Municipal Capital Participation budget authority for this project; and
WHEREAS, the anticipated total municipal capital participation may reach $632,500.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the 2020 Engineering Sewer Capital Budget is hereby amended to increase the budget in the Rimrock Road-Industrial Drive Extension project (11446) by $130,000 to allow additional reimbursement from the City of Monona.
