Fiscal Note
As stated in the Employment Agreement between the City of Madison and James D. O’Keefe, the Community Development Division (CDD) Director’s initial year’s salary will be based on a total annualized rate of $125,409.92 effective November 19, 2017. The CDD Director position is approved and funded in the 2017 Adopted Operating Budget and 2018 Executive Operating Budget. Annual salary adjustments may be made during the term of the agreement at the Mayor’s discretion, subject to Common Council approval.

Submitting the appointment of James D. O'Keefe for confirmation of a five-year term as the Community Development Division Director.
Body
WHEREAS, Mayor Soglin has appointed James D. O'Keefe to the position of Community Development Division Director and has recommended to the Common Council that his appointment be confirmed; and
WHEREAS, the parties have reached an accord on the terms and conditions of an Employment Agreement between the City and Mr. O'Keefe;
NOW THEREFORE, be resolved that Mr. O'Keefe's appointment to the position of Community Development Division Director is hereby confirmed, and the Mayor and the City Clerk’s office are authorized to execute an Employment Agreement between the City and Mr. O'Keefe.
