Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution amends Traffic Engineering’s 2017 Adopted Capital Budget by increasing authority for Todd Drive Street Lighting (Munis Project 45840) by $60,000 funded by TID 35. Funding is available in the TID for the project.
Title
Amending Traffic Engineering’s 2017 Capital Budget to include the TIF funding and expenses relating to the purchase and installation of the streetlights and cameras within the Todd Drive area of the Tax Incremental District (TID) No. 35 and area located within the ½ mile area of TID #35.
Body
WHEREAS, the TIF funds required to pay for this project are not included in Traffic Engineering’s 2017 Capital budget; and
WHEREAS, TID #35 has sufficient funding and has receive approval from the City of Madison Joint Review Board to utilize $60,000 for this project; and
WHEREAS, additional street lighting has been requested by the district alder, police, and neighborhood residents to improve the public safety in this area;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. Traffic Engineering’s 2017 Capital Budget expenses and funding would be increased by $60,000 with funding transferred from TIF 35.
