Fiscal Note
In the adopted 2017 capital budget Engineering-Major Streets and the associated Utilities have budgeted $7.87 million for the replacement of deteriorated street to provide improved neighborhood roadways via the Reconstruction Streets program (MUNIS 10226). The minor project for road improvements to the Grand Ave., Van Hise Ave., Park Place Pl., and Mason St. Assessment district is established with sufficient budget authority for the proposed costs in this resolution (MUNIS 10898). Funding is provided by GO Borrowing, Revenue Bonds, Utility reserves, and Special Assessments.
The proposed resolution approves plan documents at a total estimated cost of $3,398,810 split by agency as follows:
Engineering Major Streets - $1,243,750
Sewer Utility - $1,468,835
Stormwater Utility - $146,225
Water Utility - $540,000

The Board of Public Works and the City Engineer having made reports of all proceedings in relation to the improvement of Grand Avenue, Van Hise Avenue, Park Place and Mason Street Assessment District - 2017 pursuant to a resolution of the Common Council, RES-16-00827, ID No. 44795, adopted 11/01/2016, which resolution was adopted thereto, and the provisions of the Madison General Ordinances and the Wisconsin Statutes in such case made and provided, and the Common Council being fully advised.
BE IT RESOLVED:
1. That the City at large is justly chargeable with and shall pay the sum of $3,008,088.00 of the entire cost of said improvement.
