Subject: 608 LLC dba 608 Restaurant and Bar
The 608 Restaurant and Bar is applying for a Class B Combination Beer & Liquor License at 1738 Fordem Ave in Madison at the former site of Einstein Bros. Bagels.
They seem pretty confident that they will be granted this license as is evident inside the property. They have already purchased many metal bar signs such as The New Glarus Brewing Co. Spotted Cow Beer.
I am against the beer and liquor license for the unwelcome foot traffic it will bring, along with the fact that bar patrons will have to gather in the parking lot to smoke outside.
In local news, recent reports have been told of bar fights. This is unwelcome to the neighborhood. Vomit and excess trash are risks, as well.
I am also concerned with the hours of operation. I do not welcome a bar to 1738 Fordem Ave.
