Fiscal Note
The proposed resolution approves an amendment to the existing architectural/engineering design services contract for the Door Creek Park Shelter project. The resolution seeks to add $10,000 to the existing authorized contract amount of $155,000 for additional services being provided during the Construction Design through Warranty phases of the project. Funding for the increase is budgeted within the adopted 2022 Capital budget in Engineering-Facilities Management, Park Facility Improvements Capital program. (Munis Project 10564). No additional appropriation is required.

Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute an amendment to the existing Purchase of Services contract (Architect) between the City of Madison and Aro Eberle Architects to provide professional architectural and engineering design services and construction administration services for the design and construction of the Door Creek Park Shelter. (16th AD)
Body
WHEREAS the parties, the City of Madison (“City”) and Aro Eberle Architects (“Architect”) entered into a contract for the purchase of professional architectural design services for the Door Creek Park Shelter project on May 13, 2020 (RES-20-00242, File ID 59941); and,
WHEREAS the contract amendment for this resolution is to address extra design services required for the addition of a solar photovoltaic system to the project.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to execute an amendment to the current contract between the City of Madison and Aro Eberle Architects, in a form to be approved by the City Attorney, to provide additional professional architectural/engineering design services for the work as describe above.
