Fiscal Note

The proposed resolution would delete the classification of Assistant Streets Superintendent in Compensation Group (CG) 18, Range (R) 15 and recreate the classification in CG 18, R16.  It would also reallocate the incumbent to the new classification. The annualized cost of the proposed reclassification is $6,900 (including benefits). Cost associated with the reclassification will be absorbed within the Streets Division 2022 Operating Budget. In each of the last 4 years (2018-2021), the Streets Division has had a surplus in the salaries major. No additional appropriation is required.
