The proposed resolution amends the Water Utility’s 2022 Adopted Capital Budget by increasing funding for the Water Utility Vehicles and Equipment program by $175,000. The funds for the purchase of this replacement vehicle will come from the Utility's operational reserves. These funds are necessary to replace a dump truck that was involved in an accident and unrepairable. The Water Utility has sufficient reserves to support this cost.

WHEREAS, the Water Utility budgeted $554,000 in the 2022 Adopted Capital Budget for Water Utility Vehicles and Equipment: and
WHEREAS, this did not include funding to support the replacement of a dump truck that was involved in an accident and unrepairable; and
WHEREAS, replacement of this vehicle is essential to Water Utility operations; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the 2022 Water Utility Adopted Capital Budget is amended to include an additional $175,000 in reserves applied in the Vehicles and Equipment program for the replacement of this vehicle.
