Commending and thanking Alderperson Barbara Harrington-McKinney for her dedicated and conscientious service during her tenure as Common Council Vice-President.

Body

WHEREAS, Alderperson Barbara Harrington-McKinney was elected by her peers to the office of Vice-President of the Madison Common Council on April 21, 2019 for the term of 2019-2020; and,

WHEREAS Alderperson Barbara Harrington-McKinney provided invaluable support and advice to Council President Shiva Bidar; and,

WHEREAS, Alderperson Barbara Harrington-McKinney met weekly with Mayor Rhodes-Conway, her staff and Common Council President Bidar to discuss city issues; and,

WHEREAS, during her term as Common Council Vice-President, Alderperson Harrington-McKinney served as vice-chair of the Common Council Executive Committee and served on the Committee on Aging, Complete County Committee, Disability Rights Commission, Downtown Coordinating Committee, Finance Committee, Madison Public Library Board, Public Safety Review Committee, President’s Work Group to Review Administrative Procedure Memoranda and President’s Work Group to Review Council Communication Tools & Processes and,

WHEREAS, Alderperson Harrington-McKinney has met the demands of her additional duties with committed and dedicated service; and,

WHEREAS, Alderperson Harrington-McKinney also continued to ably represent and respond to her 1^st District constituents,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and members of the Common Council commend and thank Alderperson Barbara Harrington-McKinney for her dedicated and conscientious service during her tenure as Vice-President of the Madison Common Council.
