Fiscal Note

The proposed resolution increases funding for the office remodel project at the Streets Division Sycamore Avenue facility. Funding for this project was included in the 2019 Adopted Capital Budget through the Streets Facility Improvement programs in the Streets Division and Engineering-Facilities capital budgets.

 

The budget assumed $1,923,000 for the project. Based on the bids received, the total project cost will be $2,363,000 a difference of $440,000. The increase for the project will be funded by transferring $220,000 from the Energy Improvements program and $220,000 from the Street EAB program.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidder contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein. See attached document (Contract No. 7969) for itemization of bids.

 

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the 2019 Engineering-Facilities Management and Streets Division Capital Budgets are amended according to the fiscal note to cover the costs associated with renovation project known as the Streets East Office Remodel.
