The proposed resolution authorizes the execution of an Underground Electric Easement to the Madison Gas and Electric Company (MG&E) across a portion of Olbrich Park at 3527 Atwood Avenue, where MG&E is installing underground electric facilities and an aboveground transformer. No City appropriation is required.

Body
WHEREAS, Madison Gas and Electric Company (“MG&E”) is installing underground electric facilities and an aboveground transformer across a portion of Olbrich Park, located at 3527 Atwood Avenue, as depicted on the attached Exhibit A, and has requested an easement from the City; and
WHEREAS, City of Madison Parks Division and Real Estate staff have reviewed and approved of the granting of said easement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an Underground Electric Easement to MG&E across a portion of Olbrich Park, located at 3527 Atwood Avenue, legally described as follows:
Two strips of land, ten (10) feet in width, located in part of the NE ¼ of Section 8, T7N, R10E, City of Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin, the centerlines of said strips being more particularly described as follows:
The right-of-way shall be located 5 feet on the right side and 5 feet on the left side of the centerline of the Grantee’s Facilities as constructed. The Facilities will be located approximately as set forth in the drawing attached hereto as Exhibit B and dated March 29, 2017.
