Fiscal Note

In the adopted 2017 capital budget the Water Utility has budgeted $1.9 million for the reconstruction of the Lakeview Reservoir on the City's north side. The proposed resolution awards the contract for the Lakeview Reservoir improvements at a total cost of $1,021,540.  The funding for the Water Utility project is provided by revenue bonds.  Associated street repair and stormwater utility maintenance costs totaling $84,760 are also included in the contract, funded via GO Borrowing and Stormwater borrowing.

 

Engineering Major Streets - $71,370

Stormwater Utility - $13,390

Water Utility - $936,780

Total - $1,021,540

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidders contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
