Fiscal Note

The Traffic Engineering (TE) 2017 Executive Operating Budget includes $170,000 for contractual epoxy pavement markings (MUNIS 45xxx-54410). It is anticipated that TE will receive the same funding level in the 2018 and 2019 operating budgets for contractual pavement markings.

 

In addition, the Ped/Bike Enhancement Capital Project (MUNIS Project 10547) will fund $30,000 in 2017 for Ped-Bike epoxy markings and $50,000 in each of 2018 and 2019.

 

Lastly, the Safe Routes to School Capital Project (MUNIS Project 10548) will fund $10,000 in 2017 for pavement markings near schools and $30,000 in each of 2018 and 2019.

 

The proposed resolution authorizes the Board of Public Works to advertise and receive bids for the 2017 - 2019 semi-permanent epoxy pavement marking contract. The initial term of the contract will be one year, with two one-year renewals subject to future appropriations.

Approving plans and specifications and authorizing the Board of Public Works to advertise and receive bids for 2017-2019 Semi-Permanent Epoxy Pavement Marking.

Body

BE IT RESOLVED,

 

1)                     That the plans and specifications for 2017-2019 Semi-Permanent Epoxy Pavement Marking, be and are hereby approved.

 

2)                     That the Board of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to advertise and receive bids for said project.

 

3)                     That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to sign and grant easements or right-of-way release or procurement documents, maintenance agreements or encroachment agreements, as necessary and grant or accept dedication of lands and/or easements from/to the Developer/Owner for public improvements located outside of existing public fee title or easement right-of-ways.

 

4)                     This contract allows for 3 years of pavement marking.  The initial contract term is one year (2017) with two, One-year renewal subject to future appropriations.
