Title

Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to enter into an intermunicipal agreement with Madison College to define maintenance responsibilities within the storm sewer channels, ditches, and drainageways on Madison College Campus.

Body

WHEREAS, the stormwater drainage channels on the Madison College campus collect and convey stormwater from the larger Madison Area, and

WHEREAS, the stormwater channels are direct tributaries to Starkweather Creek, and

WHEREAS, the maintenance of these channels directly effects the occurrence of flooding on adjacent properties, including but not limited to, Stoughton Road, and

WHEREAS, clearly defining maintenance roles will improve maintenance schedules and the cooperative working relationship with Madison College,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:

1)                      That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to enter into the attached intermunicipal agreement.
