Fiscal Note

In the adopted 2016 capital budget, the Water Utility has budgeted $11.7 million for the Water Mains Replace Rehab Improvements program (MUNIS 10432).  The minor project for 2016 Cured-in-place piping (CIPP) Rehabilitation (MUNIS 11400) has available budget authority for the cost of the proposed resolution.  The project supports replacement and upgrades of water mains to rehabilitate the aging infrastructure.  Funding is provided through revenue bonds.

 

The proposed resolution approves plan documents at an estimated cost of $1,289,800.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidders contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
