Projected revenues related to this contract will be included in the 2017 and 2018 Parks Division Operating Budgets. Projected revenue under this contract is approximately $5,000 for Warner Park Community Recreation Center and $17,000 for Olbrich Botanical Gardens annually.

Authorizing the Mayor and the City Clerk to enter into a contract with Blue Plate Catering, Inc. for exclusive alcohol beverage services at Warner Park Community Recreation Center and Olbrich Botanical Gardens from January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2018, with the possibility of two successive two-year renewal terms.
Body
WHEREAS, the City wishes to provide alcohol beverage services for Warner Park Community Recreation Center (“WPCRC”) and Olbrich Botanical Gardens (“Olbrich”) and such services provide revenue to the City and no additional staff resources if provided by an exclusive vendor; and
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Division and the Parks Division through a competitive process solicited bids for RFB 8502-0-2016-BP, Alcohol Beverage Service for Olbrich and WPCRC, and Blue Plate Catering, Inc. was the sole responder; and
WHEREAS, Blue Plate Catering was established in 1990, has been owner operated since 1995, and Blue Plate Catering has a long-standing successful relationship with Olbrich and WPCRC, having catered many events at these facilities; and
WHEREAS, a team consisting of Parks Division and Purchasing Division staff chose Blue Plate Catering, Inc. to provide exclusive alcohol beverage services at WPCRC and Olbrich; and
WHEREAS, the City’s RFB advertised the contract as a two year contract from January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2018, with the possibility of two successive two-year renewal terms; and
WHEREAS, under MGO 4.26(3)(e) service contracts of more than three years in duration require approval of the Common Council.
