In the adopted 2016 capital budget, the major project for the Fleet facility at Nakoosa Trail (MUNIS 10305) is established for the design and construction of the new comprehensive Fleet facility. $2,287,216 was budgeted for this major capital project and is funded by GO borrowing. The minor capital project for the Nakoosa Trail Fire Maintenance Building/Design (MUNIS 10304) was established for work pertaining that portion of the Fleet Service relocation project.

The proposed resolution authorizes the contract agreement for services in the amount of $115,160.

WHEREAS the 2016 Capital Budget includes an amount of $2,287,218 for design and commissioning services for this project, a consultant must be hired to commission this project; and,

WHEREAS the total contract compensation for commissioning services by Sustainable Engineering Group LLC is $115,160; and,

WHEREAS the scope of this work includes commissioning, energy modeling, and measurement & verification services; and,

WHEREAS systems to be commissioned include the entire HVAC system, the building automation system, the entire plumbing system, the entire electrical systems, renewable energy systems, and building envelope and roofing system as it pertains to HVAC energy conservation; and,

WHEREAS energy modeling and simulation engineering services shall include deliverables during schematic design, design development, and construction document phases; and,

WHEREAS the measurement & verification services shall be provided after completion of construction for the first year of occupancy; and,
