Fiscal Note
The Sewer Utility shall be paid $12,000 in both 2016 and 2017 to offset internal costs incurred due to the Sanitary Sewer Lateral Warranty program. The General Fund shall be paid $9,017.31 in 2016 and $10,000 in 2017 for licensing and use of City logo with the program.

Authorizing an extension of the Agreement with Utility Service Partners Private Label, Inc. (USPPL) dba Service Line Warranties of America (SLWA) for a Sanitary Sewer Lateral Warranty Program to be made available to interested homeowners at no cost to the City.
Body
WHEREAS, in 2013 the City went thru an RFP process and entered into an agreement with SLWA on 10/14/2013 to provide a Lateral Warranty Program to interested homeowners at no cost to the City, and;
WHEREAS, the purpose of this program is to provide City of Madison homeowners access to an affordable option to limit their out-of-pocket costs to restore service to their privately owned failed, broken and / or obstructed sanitary sewer service line, and;
WHEREAS, the original agreement was for a term of one year with up to 4 additional one year renewals at the City’s option, and;
WHEREAS, the 2015 renewal made minor adjustments to the program with regards to marketing and fees reimbursable to the City, and;
WHEREAS, this second renewal further refines the adjustments and extends the renewal out thru January 31, 2018.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Designee of the City Finance Director is hereby authorized to execute an extension of the Agreement with Utility Service Partners Private Label, Inc. (USPPL) dba Service Line Warranties of America (SLWA) for a Sanitary Sewer Lateral Warranty Program to be made available to interested homeowners at no cost to the City.
