Authorizing an amendment to the contract between the City of Madison and Engberg Anderson Architects to extend the term of the contract to May 30, 2016 for architectural and engineering schematic design services for the Midtown Police Station project. (11th AD)
Body
WHEREAS the parties, the City of Madison (“City”) and Engberg Anderson Architects. (“Architect” or “Contractor”) entered into a contract for the purchase of architectural and engineering schematic design services for the Midtown Police Station project on July 17, 2015; and,
WHEREAS the project is the continuing development and preparation of architectural and engineering pre-design and schematic design services for the design of the Midtown Police Station located at 4018 Mineral Point Road; and,
WHEREAS delete the term of the contract originally listed as “July 6, 2015 through October 30, 2015; and,
WHEREAS the amendment is to change the term of the contract to “July 6, 2015 through May 30, 2016; and,
WHEREAS the change to the term of the contract is necessary to allow additional time to complete schematic design services for the project; and,
Now, Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute contract Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 7546 between the City of Madison and Engberg Anderson Architects to extend the term of the contract to May 30, 2016.
