Body
WHEREAS, Transit Service Manager Ann Gullickson is retiring from City of Madison employment effective January 4, 2016; and
WHEREAS, this position is critical to the smooth operations of Madison Metro as it is the second-in-command to Transit General Manager Charles Kamp, and
WHEREAS, Madison Metro has requested the authorization to double-fill the position held by Ms. Gullickson in order to ensure an orderly transition, and
WHEREAS, Madison Metro intends to recruit to fill the position on or about October 11, 2015 in order to allow the selected candidate time to work with Ms. Gullickson to learn the position, and
WHEREAS, the double-fill will exceed thirty (30) days;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Madison Metro is authorized to double-fill the position of Transit Service Manager from October 11, 2015 through January 4, 2016, or Ms. Gullickson’s final date on the payroll, whichever is later.
