Fiscal Note

The Employment Agreement establishes an annual salary of $130,098 beginning August 4, 2013.  The Water Utility's 2013 Operating Budget includes $124,620 for the Water Utility General Manager position; however, the additional funds necessary are available from the management of salary savings.  Annual salary adjustments may be made during the term of the agreement at the Mayor's discretion, subject to Common Council approval.

Body

WHEREAS, Mayor Soglin has appointed Thomas O. Heikkinen to the position of Water Utility General Manager and has recommended to the Common Council that  his appointment be confirmed; and

WHEREAS, the parties have reached an accord on the terms and conditions of an Employment Agreement between the City and Mr. Heikkinen,

NOW THEREFORE, be resolved that Mr. Heikkinen's appointment to the position of Water Utility General Manager is hereby confirmed, and the Mayor and the City Clerk's office are authorized to execute an Employment Agreement between the City and Mr. Heikkinen.
