Total contract value is $24,260. Estimated  revenue to the City is $8000, which is included in the 2012 Traffic Engineering Operating Budget.
Title
Authorizing the Mayor and City officials to enter into a contract with the State of Wisconsin for modification of State-owned signal control cabinets at the Beltline-Gammon Rd interchange.
Body
Whereas, the State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WiDOT) is modifying the Beltline-Gammon Rd interchange, including upgrading signal operation; and
 
Whereas, the City will furnish and install two traffic signal control cabinets, with WiDOT paying the full cost of materials and labor; and
 
Whereas, the agreement requires that the City indemnify WiDOT. City APM 1-1 requires Common Council approval whenever the City indemnifies another party, and the work under this contract carries low risk and benefits the general public.
 
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and other City officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with the State.
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council approves indemnification of  WiDOT under this contract.
