WHEREAS, Monona Terrace Community & Convention Center hosted Terrace Town 2012 on February 3 & 4, 2012; and,
 
WHEREAS, Terrace Town brings 1,450 Dane County elementary students together to present their visions for sustainable cities; and,
 
WHEREAS, this box city models reflect several months of learning how cities are planned and what makes a green community; and,
 
WHEREAS, Terrace Town is proudly produced by Monona Terrace Community & Convention Center to support part of its mission to be a community gathering place,
 
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Common Council recognizes and commends the hard work and dedication of Monona Terrace Community & Convention Center staff, Dane County elementary students and their teachers, program partners and sponsors in making Terrace Town 2012 a successful, educational and very enjoyable community event in the City of Madison.
