The City of Madison Fire Department has received notification from the State of Wisconsin Office of Justice Assistance as to the award of a grant for the Metropolitan Medical Response System (MMRS) in the amount of $301,548. The grant covers the metropolitan area which includes Dane County. The focus areas for this program are interoperable communications, medical supplies, training, exercises, mass casualty response, alternate care facilities; and patient care reporting and quality assurance. The grant approves the purchase of the Imagetrend Records Management System for all emergency response providers.

WHEREAS, the City of Madison wishes to continue working with other emergency responders in the metropolitian area on a mass casualty response system;and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council approve acceptance of the Homeland Security Program grant award from the Wisconsin Office of Justice Assistance for the MMRS Program; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council adopts the grant budget; and

BE IT STILL FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council approves the purchase of ImageTrend software as approved in the grant;and

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Mayor, Clerk and other designated City employees are authorized to execute the necess...
