Approving Hastings Air Energy Control, Inc. to perform the upgrade conversion of the Plymovent Systems installed at all stations and vehicle modifications for $69,955.98

Hastings Air Energy Control, Inc. was awarded Public Works Contract No. 5651 on July 20, 2004 for installation of a Plymovent vehicle exhaust removal system. This system needs to be upgraded to the "click and seal" magnetic grabber system. The upgraded system will provide a more effective exhaust removal system.
Plymovent Corporation certifies authorized dealers for the sales,installation and service of their systems. Hasting Air Energy Inc is the certified dealer for Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan and Indiana. No other company is certified in our area nor does the Plymovent Corporation allow the installation or purchase of systems or parts by any other company.The warranty also states that "Service should be rendered by a factory authorized dealer."
WHEREAS, the Fire Department needs to upgrade the Plymovent Systems installed in 2004 which was awarded in Public Works Contract No. 5651.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that project funding exists in the 2011 Fire Capital Budget.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, . that the contract of $69,955.98 be awarded to Hastings Air Energy Control, Inc. which is the only authorized dealer for Wisconsin.
BE IT STILL FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Clerk are authorized to excute the contract with Hastings Air Energy Control, Inc.
