Fiscal Note

The proposed resolution amends an existing non-competitive purchase of services contract (PO# 18003224) with Fortin Consulting for additional time and travel associated with work not within the original scope of services.

The additional cost for the contract amendment is $723. Funding for consulting services is available in the Stormwater Utility Purchased Services Operating Budget (account 84125-54645).

Body

WHEREAS, The contract with Fortin Consulting for Salt Certification and Training had a scope change due to an additional meeting to modify the work plan and adjust the outline for training manual resulting in the total project costs exceeding the budgeted amount of $45,000 by $723.

 

WHEREAS, The existing non-competitive purchase of services contract was approved in 2018 by the Common Council RES-18-00523.

 

WHEREAS, Using Fortin Consulting’s existing training material as a template will expedite the development of Madison focused training and their extensive knowledge of salt training development makes them uniquely qualified for the work.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute an amendment the contract with Fortin Consulting, Inc. to increase the contract total by $723.
